On a sunny day, the General Assembly of the Associates of the Congrégation des Filles du Saint-Esprit took place on 6 April DHS sisters’ reception centre on rue Chaplain.
A warm welcome from the 28 Associates and 6 DHS Sisters over a hot or cold drink and some sweets.
After that, I think I can say, on behalf of everyone, that this day was very much appreciated, in particular by the remarkable intervention of Sylvie ROBERT, -Religious auxiliary, professor of spiritual and dogmatic theology, responsible for the World Religions domain at the Centre Sèvres-, on the rereading of life, the “making memory” and the sharing that took place; moreover, it is always an additional richness to meet the other teams: the joy betrayed our happiness to be together!
The picnic break was a great opportunity to meet up with everyone in the small green spaces.
The afternoon was very well organised by Maryse JOURDAIN, Chairman of the Board, with clear and precise moral and financial reports. The committee did an excellent job in organising and running the day! We can see that many events were experienced, a source of enrichment for everyone. It was also an opportunity for the Northern group to express themselves, to talk about their difficulties, to share their questions and, for the group as a whole, to realise that difficulties can arise and that we need to support each other through prayer or any other gesture…
The day ended in the chapel, with a prayer prepared and led by Michel THIRY, Associate from Belgium and permanent deacon. Everyone then went on to their daily lives, enriched by the experience of this wonderful General Meeting.
