The meeting of the Associates Coordination Team, Chile – Peru, was held in Santiago de Chile from 17 to 19 January 2025, with the participation of the Chilean and Peruvian coordinators. The meeting was attended by – from Peru: Felix Guillen, general coordinator of Peru, accompanied by local coordinators Dora Anicama from Lima and Americo Espinoza from Huaura and Medio Mundo, – from Chile: general coordinator María Godoy, Marisol Cáceres from Antofagasta and María Teresa Cartes from Santiago.
We worked on the encyclical Laudaro Sí, and we realised that even though we have different cultures, we have the same needs and problems: in education, employment, health, etc. After analysing the text of the Jubilee, we observed that there is still hope, because of what we said before, which is gratifying.
We ended by drawing up the calendar of activities that we will carry out during the year 2025. It was agreed that the next face-to-face meeting will be in 2026 in Peru.
